How the score works
Three things feed your score: the thumbnails you enter during the month, how strongly those entries rate against everyone else's, and how much you vote. They multiply rather than add. A pile of votes with nothing uploaded goes nowhere, and so does one great thumbnail from someone who never votes. Entries that rate well count for the most.
We don't publish the exact formula. Partly so the competition stays about making good thumbnails instead of optimizing a number, and partly because we adjust it when someone finds an angle. If the standings look close, the honest strategy is simple: upload your best work and keep voting.
